Finding the perfect NYC apartment building is no easy task. There are thousands of buildings throughout the city in all different boroughs, each with its own unique charm. As an NYC Interior Designer, I've grown pretty familiar with many of the top apartment buildings in the city, along with some of the hottest up and coming luxury buildings. Today, I wanted to go over some of our favorite buildings and why we love working there -- take a look!
Luxury NYC Apartment Buildings:
111 W 57th Street
Located right across the street from the Kati Curtis Design studio, 111 W 57th towers above the New York skyline on Billionaire's row. The impeccable SHoP Architects have br0ught a refined and innovative design to life in the residences at 111 W 57th, with unmatched views of Central Park. Each unit is highly spacious, and residents can enjoy a private porte-cochere, 24-hour doorman and concierge, an 82-foot indoor pool, and luxury terrace for enjoying fresh air and entertaining guests al fresco.
108 Leonard
Secondly, we have 108 Leonard. Located in Tribeca, 108 Leonard was built in 1898 as the former home of the New York Life Insurance Company. In 2019, architects HLZA and SLCE restored this stunning building to an art deco dream with luxury residences. Amenities include an incredible double-height lobby, concierge, indoor pool, fitness center, wine cellar, and rooftop garden. These residences are state of the art, and we love getting to design homes for our clients in this building.
11 Beach Street
Also located in Tribeca, 11 Beach Street is an industrial haven, located in a converted warehouse building. The building was redesigned by BKSK Architects and boasts huge floor to ceiling windows with lots of natural light. Amenities include a roof deck, sun-drenched fitness center, and a children's play center, making this building the perfect spot for a young family. Along with the primary building, 11 Beach Street also features three custom pool townhouses, which each feature a private spa and pool. 15 Central Park West
Heading uptown, we arrive at 15 Central Park West. Located just steps from Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, and the Philharmonic, 15 Central Park West is in the epicenter of culture and art in New York City. Arthur and William Lie Zeckendorf are the incredible developers for Central Park West, and they did such a great job mixing contemporary and classic styles. With views of Central Park and extremely spacious units, 15 Central Park West is the perfect spot for culture enthusiasts. Amenities include private dining services, a 14,000 SF fitness center, private screening rooms, and a full concierge staff. 220 Central Park S
Another wonderful building off of Central Park is 22o Central Park South. This new building was designed by Robert A.M Stern Architects and offers full views of Central Park. This building features a classic pre-war interior design style with contemporary twists. Amenities include a private spa, private dining spaces, an expansive fitness center, and an entertainment center.
Central Park Tower
Last but certainly not least, Central Park Tower is located right off of Columbus Circle and almost directly across the street from Kati Curtis Design. It is the tallest residential building in the world. Filled to the brim with luxury amenities and custom finishes, this NYC apartment building is truly one of a kind. Designed by Extell and Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Central Park Tower boasts fabulous views of Central Park. Central Park Tower also houses 179 north-facing units. Amenities also include a 60-foot pool with sundeck (seen above), spa, fitness center, and luxury lobby.
