Kati Curtis and 7 other top interior designers spot trends at High Point Market.
As a style spotter, I was chosen along with several other top designers from around the country to scout out the top trends at this year's High Point Market.
At Terracea, I quickly picked up on the global influence of their pieces that featured a twist on traditional marketplace patterns. I chose this stunning console that takes a typical marketry pattern and puts it on a relief on the front of the doors. The pattern was carved out and had an amazing textural quality that I loved. The mix of traditional and contemporary is something I find to be really exciting.
Next, I stopped at Cisco Home. I was really excited to see some more Southwestern, Americana qualities that I noticed throughout High Point Market. The John Derian collection for Cisco really stood out to me as a really sophisticated, New York quality with that southwest flare. I chose this stunning John Derian couch from this line as my piece of choice. It has a very upscale, New York silhouette and feel to it, but they found these vintage Moroccan rugs and upholstered them with it. This really changed the whole feel of the piece and made it a show stopper!
